Na manhã do dia 07/04/2017 o projeto De Repente em Ação desenvolveu sua primeira atividade junto à Comunidade Acadêmica da Universidade Federal do Cariri (UFCA) com uma palestra sobre Cantoria Repentista e Literatura de Cordel. O palestrante convidado foi o poeta Raul Levyr, conhecido por Raul Poeta, da cidade de Juazeiro do Norte-CE.
O Encontro contou com a presença dos alunos do curso de música da Universidade sendo realizado como aula expositiva da disciplina Cultura e Antropologia Musical, do primeiro semestre.
O Prof. Dr. Márcio Mattos, juntamente com o discente Rodolfo Rodrigues – coordenador do projeto – auxiliou na realização da referida palestra, atrelando o evento à sua disciplina, considerando ser um assunto pertinente a se abordar, pois um dos objetivos da referida disciplina é a possibilidade de contato com as diferentes formas de produção artístico-cultural do Cariri.
Raul Poeta é cordelista, apologista, músico e participa como mediador e jurado de várias cantorias pelo Nordeste, além disso é palestrante e já esteve em várias unidades escolares e espaços de convivência abordando assuntos relacionados à Cultura Popular.
Ao final da palestra o poeta apresentou alguns cordéis e CD’s de sua autoria para serem comercializados e sorteou outros entre os ouvintes. Por fim gravou um breve depoimento sobre sua trajetória e alguns pontos que considera relevante sobre a cultura popular. O vídeo pode ser acessado AQUI.

Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
